Dude thanks a ton for the pics, I am getting that case for sure. So which size did you order for the 14.1 inch because it looks like a good fit.

No problem.

I got the sleeve sized 11 as recommeded by their site. It's a very snug fit.. no room for any jiggling or anything as far as horizontal fit is concerned. The vertical aspect provides enough room for the 9-cell battery if it's attached to the computer and if it's not like I had in the pics - there's still no movement anyways. That's the reason the loop is attached to the bottom of the bag - to assist you in removing the laptop from the case.

Also note the plenty of room leftover in the piggy back after putting two batteries and a phone cord in. You can also fit the powerpack if need be.

The 11? Where did you see that recommendation??? I was going to assume the 14 for the 14.1 inch screen but maybe I am totally confused.

EDIT: Ah I see the listing, yeah it looks like the 11, as the 14 is .5 inch thicker and slightly longer (horizontal?) as well. Im glad I saw your note or I would have ordered the wrong bag :)

I said the same thing at first. I actually called in to make sure it was the 11.

It seems their numbering system has relatively little to do with what screen size the bag fits. For any particular size there could be several variations (depth, height changes, etc).

I think you must be referring to the Waterfield sleeve. It was approx $96, you can the sleeve itself for like $47.. You're better off getting the prices from their site than me as I may be incorrect - I already forget. http://www.sfbags.com/index.htm In all honesty, worth every penny. It's durability and quality are bar none the number one in the business. I was a little hesitant to get one, but wow am I glad I ever did. Their site doesn't do their product justice inthat you need to feel and operate the sleeve and accessories to know what I mean. There's a reason why it's a little high priced, just like the thinkpad - high quality. Ive owned other sleeves and I won't buy another other than Waterfields. Don't take my word for it, purchase it as a trial - see what I mean, if you don't agree - return it.

oh man oh man oh man oh man oh man oh man oh

i just ordered the 74u, and you are making me melt in my chair (im in love with my thinkpad already!)

i guess im going to try the waterfield bag, although i still dont like the idea of payin 96$ for it :(, i hope its great.

also, i was tempted to get the vertical oriented bag so i could have it in my backpack, and get the thinkpad out without taking it from my bag (but i guess it would suck to carry by itself then).

the piggy back thing does look like it can hold alot, im glad, but also wondering just how big it really is, wow.

i hope he finds out how much free wonderful publicity hes getting here :D.

I have that same bag (had it for more 2 years actually) and it is just amazing how well it protects my laptops. I have a 3 year old lappy which looks brand new!
