Added an official Lenovo video after the jump

Last week we brought you news of the new ThinkCentre all-in-one that Lenovo leaked on their Flickr account. Today Lenovo made the announcement official and we have the ThinkCentre A70z.

The A70z features a 19-inch, 16:10 LCD running at 1440×900 and will have a range of processors from Celeron to Core 2 Duo. The wide variety of processors helps keep the starting price of this AIO to a mere $500, much lower than traditional AIO’s.

With an ever-present focus on functionality, Lenovo also made sure the A70z is easy to service, with a single two-screw access panel to get to the RAM and hard drive. You will also find it is wall-mountable and supports Lenovo’s much touted Enhanced Experience Windows 7. Lenovo’s ThinkCentre A70z will start shipping later this month.

Today Lenovo also announced the ThinkCentre A58e. A tower form factor PC, the A58e will offer Windows 7, Core 2 Duo or Celeron processors, 320GB storage, up to 2GB RAM and a DVD burner. The A58e will be sold starting at $349.

Lenovo is looking to get into the AIO market in a big way, with the recently announced IdeaCentre B500, existing IdeaCentre AIO’s like the C300 and A600, and now the ThinkCentre A70z. IDC is predicting the AIO market will grow 16% worldwide in 2010, partially fueled by Windows 7 and its integrated tough features.

Lenovo ThinkCentre All-In-One

Lenovo just published an official photo of a new all-in-one ThinkCentre desktop PC on their Flickr account, with the caption “Lenovo’s first business class, Think-branded all-in-one PC announcing soon at EDUCAUSE 09.”

All-in-one PCs have generally been reserved for consumer-oriented brands like Lenovo’s IdeaCentre or HP’s Pavilion brands, but Lenovo apparently sees some demand for a business-class all-in-one PC. No more information has been shared than what you see here, but looking closely at the picture we can discern a few things:

  • 3 USB 2.0 ports, headphone, mic on the right side
  • + and – buttons on the upper right – not sure what those do, maybe scroll through an On-Screen-Display menu
  • Integrated stereo speakers
  • Integrated webcam & mic

The keyboard and mouse pictured are also a new design, with more laptop-esque keys on the keyboard and an interesting texture on the mouse.

We’ll be hunting for more details, stay tuned for the latest.
