Lenovo ThinkPad SL400

We haven’t mentioned the ThinkPad SL’s in our deals in a while, so here is the latest discount on these puppies. You can pick up an SL400 or SL500 starting at $466 each. A flat $146 discount applies, with a 15% off coupon stacked on for a total of $466 shipped.

What’s even better is these are the “Enhanced” models, which have higher specs than the normally uber-cheap ones. It is also worth noting that right now Lenovo is running a special on the SL500 where you can upgrade to the WSXGA+ AntiGlare screen for free as well. ThinkPad SL for $399 or T400 for $636

Lenovo ThinkPad T400

We’re changing things up a bit and this time mentioning some deals on ThinkPads! The SL models are once again on sale, this time you can have your pick of either the SL400 or SL500 for $399. The configurations are bare bones in the CPU and RAM department, but a 160GB hard drive and DVDRW are standard.

ThinkPad SL400 & SL500 on sale for $399 each

Lenovo ThinkPad SL400

Starting in the same price range as the underpowered, defeatured, diminuitive netbooks, Lenovo’s ThinkPad SL400 & SL500 notebooks can be had for a starting price of only $399.

Of course you don’t get much for $399. A dual core Celeron processor. 1GB RAM with Windows Vista. Ugh. But you do get a 160GB HDD, DVD burner, and the screen on the SL400 is LED backlit.

Upgrading to a Core 2 Duo T6570 only costs $50 and is probably your best investment in options. Moving to a single 2GB stick of RAM runs $50, but for that much you can get your own single stick and be at 3GB total. Not too bad for less than $500 out of pocket!
