RBS, thanks for checking in. In regards to plugging the printer directly into the laptop... I've been doing just that with my LaserJet 4MV for 10 yrs...works perfectly. But this new-to-me 2840 'breaks' the wifi connection....or 'breaks' Windows from looking for internet over the wifi. One or the oth...

precip, thanks for weighing in.
The printer is NOT wifi. It's ethernet....cable, yes?
When I plug the --ethernet cable-- into my T60p, I lose the wifi connection to my router.

howdy from Oregon! I need a couple of spare batts for my R60, and T60p. I'd prefer 9-cells with low cycles, but will consider others if they're a great bargain. heck, I'd like a great bargain on the low cycle 9-cells too! Shipping to Ashland, Oregon 97520 Please let me know what you have. In regards to..."Windows cannot be installed on removable devices". That's not accurate. There are thousands of people booting windows from USB key-drives and HD's. WANTED: T60 w/ 15" UXGA, and maybe repair of 2623-DDU T60p
My T60p 2623-DDU just quit working, so I am shopping for a good deal on another T60 with 15" UXGA. I don't need the 'fancy' high power-draw ATI graphics...but I DO need the 15" 1600x1200 UXGA...so my 'wish' T60 would be a 15" machine with a low-power T61 Intel-integrated-graphics mainboard swapped i...

hi ZC and thanks for the reply,
The modem is on the -bottom- of the mainboard in a T60 ???
I didn't know that!
I've had it apart several times, but I just realized I've never taken the mainboard out of this one.....only on T4x's.

Re: Is it possible to put a T61 heatsink in a T60p?
........ The plate on the T61p heatsink I modified is formed downwards to contact the GPU but this only makes the situation for cooling the Northbridge far worse. The Northbridge chip is actually .050" lower than the GPU so bending the plate down where the GPU is requires an even thicker pad if you...

Uncle Joe, thanks VERY much for digging into this, and posting your results. 8) Because the same BIOS file works on many variants of T60 with different option-loadings, I have to assume that the BIOS and/or the OS can 'insert' the various option-cards where they'll work fine. So in theory a single m...
