Thanks for the heads up. The T440s Touch is EXACTLY what I want. I prefer the keyboard, the built in Ethernet (I use at work) and the built in VGA, and the swappable battery.

I'm running Windows 8.1 Pro x64 on an X230T tablet/laptop. Holding either right or left alternate key does the same thing. It toggles on and off the File Edit View Favorites Tools Help line on IE 11.

My X230T has never seen a version of Windows below Win8 Release Preview x64. I ran that from August, 2012 until Win 8 was released and I upgraded to Win 8.1 on October 18th, 2013.

No regrets.

I think a new screen will fix it and I bet you get it back quickly. I think it is all hardware. Installing Office 2013 probably had nothing to do with it.

Does it occur on the flash screen before booting to the OS? Does it occur with the hard drive removed?
