active protection

No, not out of the box. I don't like the feature that much anyway, because it is so picky about how i move my laptop. It's better than it was on my x41, but i just cannot deal with the delay and noise it makes when it offloads. I know someone has made a linux driver for it out there somewhere.

Recovery Fails.

I got my t61 with sled 10 around Aug 1, 2008. That same day, I decided that I needed more desktop effects and it turned out i needed sp2 in order to get these. (I was used to my desktop with ubuntu and all of compiz fusions features working). I upgraded to sp2 and in turn this completely ruined my x...

2010

Updating the bios worked, so now i don't have to hit escape. Also, my logo in the upper right corner is prettier now. I just wish there was a way to trick the bios into thinking it's still an ibm drive. Still, the 2 second wait for that error message to go away is well worth the speed increase that ...

kingston 266x works GREAT, 2010 is horrible

I heard that you can take the bios back to an older version and the 2010 goes away... I don't know if this would be a good idea or not. If not, how do i make it so i do not have to hit escape to get rid of the 2010? The thing that gets me is that even before the 2010 message comes up, the bios scree...

waiting on results

I just ordered the addonics single adapter along with a Kingston 8gb 266x (before the rebate expires 3/31). I'll post results, but what should i benchmark it with?
