X41 92P1149 or 92P1080 Batteries?
Anyone know where to find genuine Lenovo replacement batteries for the X41 non-tablet? Have looked on ebay and Google and can only find non-OEM.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: X41 Tablet Ubuntu 10.04 Docking Issue
I am not using Ubuntu, but on Windows 7 I installed Presentation Director and setup a profile for docked and undocked and that has solved the display problem. However, now I have another problem in that the computer doesn't disable wireless when it is docked and thus connected via eithernet to the s...

Re: X61 Dock Mode
When I undock the video output doesn't switch back from the monitor to the LCD.
Also, I would like to be able to configure it to use ethernet when docked and wireless when undocked. Other than that, it does register as docked and shows the dvd drive etc.

As usual, you're right. Putting it to sleep before undocking or docking seems to be the best method.

Dock/Undock Windows 7
Anyone been able to figure out a smooth way to do this? When I undock my computer hangs or puts itself to sleep because the lid is closed.
I can see the undock button from the shutdown menu though.

doesn't work on the laptop ethernet either. works on wifi. can access router at 192.168.1.1. drops all packets to ping. as i have looked into it i think it is a wifi driver problem with the router running dd-wrt. it uses madwifi and it should use ath9k. going to install the most up to date broadcom ...

i am using the x4 dock and it has neither. does have stereo speakers though. if those two that you list are the only available docks for the x41 then i think it is the case unfortunately. ah well.

so neither of those have audio out, which is odd. guess there aren't any docks with that capability for the x41.

anyone know if this ssd would work in an x41? http://www.crunchgear.com/2010/03/10/ocz-drops-ssds-to-below-100/ guess i would still need some type of adapter, but the speed sounds better than the original hdd i have now. could make it the perfect netbook. Re: X40 squealing sound near AC plug area, how long until death?
I had a similar problem on my X41.
The problem ended up being with the AC adapter. Sent it in to Lenovo and the new one they sent me back didn't cause the squealing. Can't remember what the issue was, but I am sure you can Google for it.
Maybe a mismatched voltage fried your MB?

Update:
It worked!
Highly recommended upgrade because for less than $20 it effectively doubled my RAM to 2GB. Shame that it can't use that last .5GB but who am I to complain.

RAM upgrade for X41 (Not Tablet)
Anyone know if this will work:
Kingston 2GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Laptop Memory
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820134549
I know it is limited to 2GB by the chipset. Just curious if this speed is backwards compatible.
Thanks for your help.
