My 365XD has been running Windows NT 4.0 Workstation ever since 1998, when it was bought 2nd. hand.

Re: ThinkPad 365X Not booting
Would a CPU from a 760XL work? I think I have been through everything and my conclusion is, that the CPU-card was made specifically for the 365X/XD-series. Your machine could be just fine as a whole. Either traces on the PCB's are cracked (Not likely) or theres a problem with the electronics (Likel...

Don't know. The FRU is 39T2853 and it kinda works in a Z61p with 100% CPU-load. Stuttery play and there might be further improvements to be done.cadillacmike68 wrote: Is this "enhanced" sized Blue ray player available anywhere? So until further noticed and Hastalavista Baby: 72 MB RAM is the maximum for the 365X/XD. But.....couldn't resist diggin' ..... Because the funny thing is, that the onboard 8 MB RAM is made up by four 16mbit RAM IC's. Researching further revealed, that a memorychip can be set up, controlled and use...

I'm also having a 128 MB EDO 60ns 144-pin SO-DIMM coming up. Not expecting it to work, but giving it a tiny chance. The RAM-stick finally arrived and it replaced the 64MB-stick. It actually does work, to my surprise, but just 64MB is recognized. The machine adds the onboard soldered 8 MB, bringing ...

Well my second Broadcom BCM70015 card arrived today and I swapped out the WiFi and installed the video card. I booted up and installed the drivers and a couple of minutes later, I was happily enjoying something that was previously impossible......1080p 50 fps video playback! I'm also very fond of t...

Considered that as well, but some are complaining about poor reception with these. So I thought "What the heck....how about going full retard and give this beauty an antenna....

And it may last many more years, but I'd recommend minimizing the number of heat cycles as the transition from room temp to operating temp and back can cause microfractures within the chip and result in failure. Re: Looking to purchase a T61p, need some advice to get the right one
I think it should work because the WiFi card asks for Windows drivers to be installed, whereas the WWAN socket does not do that. I had thought of doing this before but did not want to lose WiFi features, although I have no idea why I did not just use my external USB adapter instead. Me too. It seem...

Re: Looking to purchase a T61p, need some advice to get the right one
I did try a Broadcom BCM70015 video decoder card in the WWAN PCIe card socket, but I later found out the socket lacks full USB functionality or something. So I moved the video card into my X61 and that can play anything, and full Blu Ray with ease. I suppose I could remove the WiFi card from the Z6...

Recent developments. April 20, 2016. Any thoughts of giving the 365XD a MMX-processor is out of question. Further research crushed any dreams in this regard. All subjects, the 535, 380, 385, 760, 765-machines aren't compatible. The CPU-card is strictly made for the 365X/XD. However. A few Asian/Japa...

The Sharp was never used by Lenovo, it was used in the likes of Dell Latitude D800 series. Look for new or factory-refurbished ones on eBay (or local) in Europe. Shipping from USA will most likely kill any deal. Yup, will do that. Thanks. I've bought a lot from the good ol' US of A though. My 770Z ...
