Hi there,

Thought I'd post here, and see if there is anyone with spare or unwanted 2503 dock to hand. Not sure if this was every manufactured with alternate P/N or FRUs.

In part, I'd like to try and preserve the condition of my very tidy T601F.

congrats on your T601F - I have been very envious of that setup but have baulked at such a machine because I understood it to be *incompatible* with my 2503-Advanced dock - where my T60, T61 and W500 happily reside (in turns). I think you would be looking for a mini-dock, instead? Long may your T601F reign, btw

That's a T60 shell with T61 innards, both of which fit perfectly on a 2503...

oooh now you have me drooling for a T601F, RBS - I thought I remember reading somewhere on the forums that someone was having problems with a FrankenPad + Advanced Dock - but in hindsight it was probably the T70, the T60 modification from 51nb. Thanks for pointing out my error

Well, a T70 (as all 51nb modifications) have no problems with traditional Thinkpad docks. They simply do not support them (as there is no docking connector).

Hey was looking at Goodwill site today. There is a 2503 advanced dock up for auction…starting at $4.99 plus shipping. I got mine already so just spreading the word!
