So, as some of you know, I dug through the "art" of rebuilding original batteries and then subsequently removing lock flags on the original BMS, restoring these original batteries with amazing results!
Now, I am ready for putting a number of them for sale for those who badly need these!
Most of which are for T6x/X6x Frankenpads and TABLETS (YES, I have Pansonic NCA103450, but in very limited quantity), a few others are on the menu too!
- All of the original packs below are 100% working, with 90+% health, unless specified otherwise. A few aftermarket packs can be provided FREE with purchase but in as-is condition
- Ones labelled with a * are not yet rebuilt, I will rebuild them if there is interest in them. I have brand new 2024 made Samsung INR18650-35E cells (most expensive), to 2024 made EVE 18650-35V cells (lesser expensive), to 2022 made LG INR18650-MJ1's (also lesser expensive). You can choose between the 3 to fit your needs. I don't have enough cells to rebuild every single one of these packs, especially tablet batteries that require 103450 prismatic cells!
- Usable full charge capacity varies even when the same cells are used on two different packs - as each battery manufacturer puts their own way of computing the capacity, as well as different discharge cutoff levels. A Sanyo from 2006-2007 (e.g. 42T4513) cuts power at as high as 3.4V per cell, which means my cells are actually only 70% discharged. This results in shorter runtimes than what the cells are capable of, but much longer long term lifespan as a result.
- Pics will be provided shortly.
- In case you don't have an idea of how much Wh your existing stuff have: A typical T6x 6 cell OEM battery has 5200mAh, 58Wh; R6x would be 4800mAh, 52Wh. A typical aftermarket T6x 6 cell is labelled as 4400mAh, 48Wh, but they in fact usually only have 6x 2000mAh cells, so actual capacity being only 4000mAh, 42Wh! An Aftermarket 9 cell is typically around 6000mAh, 65Wh in reality!

ThinkPad T/R6x/500 series batteries (3rd one is the best in this batch):
FRU, original maker, Design Capacity, tested full charge capacity, cells used, remarks, price (Canadian dollars)
- 42T4513, Sanyo, 52Wh, 51Wh, 2022 made LG INR18650MJ1 3500mah, Original to R61; Poor cosmetic condition due to the label being corroded by the original Sanyos; Fully working otherwise, C$35
- 42T4513*, Sanyo, 52Wh, Estimating 52Wh, N/A, Not yet rebuilt, C$35-45
- 42T4623, Sony, 57Wh, 62Wh, 2024 Samsung INR18650-35E, Original to T500; Fully working; Pristine condition; Almost as good as 9 cell aftermarket; The Ultimate Frankenpad portable companion, C$55

ThinkPad X6x/s series:
- 92P1173*, Sony, 75Wh, Estimating 85-90Wh*, N/A, Not yet rebuilt, C$65

ThinkPad T/R61/400 14 widescreen series:
- 42T4644*, Sanyo, 84Wh, Estimating 95Wh*, N/A, Not yet rebuilt, C$70

ThinkPad A2x series 6 cell:
- 02K6770*, Sanyo, 38Wh, Estimating 42-48Wh*, N/A, Not yet rebuilt, C$45

I have a ThinkPad 600 6 cell aftermarket that can also be rebuilt, but I am not 100% sure how well it will work. Original 600 packs infamously had BMS problems and hence not desirable for a rebuild.

Tablet batteries with 103450 prismatic cells. I only have 8 prismatic cells on hand, so ONLY 2 out of the 3 stared ones can be rebuilt. Don't expect full health, due to the variation of discharge cutoffs of my Panasonic NCA103450 vs the original Sanyos, expect around 75% of design capacity on the prismatic cells (while the 18650 cells can do more):
ThinkPad X6x Tablet:
- 42T4661*, LG?, 66Wh, Estimating 55-60Wh*, N/A, 8 cell with 4x 18650 and 4x prismatic; Not yet rebuilt, C$60-70
- 93P5031*, Sanyo, 28Wh, Estimating ~20Wh*, N/A, 4 cell prismatic; Not yet rebuilt, C$35
- Aftermarket from 2012: Free with any other purchase. Works, but health is as-is
ThinkPad X20x Tablet:
- 42T4658*, Sanyo, 66Wh, Estimating 60-65Wh*, N/A, 8 cell with 4x 18650 and 4x prismatic; Not yet rebuilt, C$60-70
- 42T4658, Sanyo, 66Wh, 60Wh, 4x Panasonic NCA103450 (2022) 2350mah + 4x Sanyo 18650GA (2021) 3500mah, Some scuffing on the innermost edge due to the difficulty with opening this pack; fully working otherwise, C$60-70

More will be added as I find them in my stash.

Initially prices as indicated above, postage excluded in the price tags, prices negotiable.
Ships from Canada, preferably Canadian domestic. For US shipments I will have to see if UPS can deliver reliably.
PM for any further questions. I have loads of pics for the ones that I already rebuilt if you're interested to see them.
You can also feel free to use my guidances with the CP2112 to take a crack at some of these packs on your own, but do understand that this is a risky job! Do not hold me responsible for any damages this may cause. If you're uninterested in taking a crack at these on your own (trust me, it's a very time consuming job to do it properly), then I guess this is what I offer currently.
