T23 Ultrabay2000 Zip and PW protected Zip Disk

#1 Post by PandorasThinkpad » Mon Nov 23, 2020 7:21 pm

Hi ho folks after quite an long time again..

As the topic of this thread shows...

Have an Zip Disk (it is my own) with once set but now unknown PW, does anyone know a way to get access to it to safe the data from it?

In the web there is a way when there is an externe Drive but as i wrote...just have this Ultrabay2000 Zip Drive = an Atapi one..

I don't want to format the disk i will get access to it to safe the left data from it to an other medium..

Many thanks for every hint and help in this..

Kindly,

I would suggest that you buy / borrow an external ZIP drive and perform the process outlined on the web.

Thanks, Ray, and yes, this i will do, just lend me such an external drive (with an emergency drop out hole) to access and rescue my data...
