T23 video resolutions
Hi,
I've got a T23 connected to a Dell 2007WFP monitor. It works ok but is there any way I can change the graphics driver to support widescreen resolutions? 1680 x 1050 would be ideal but a lower resolution at 16:10 ratio would be good enough - eg 1440 x 900.
Any different driver I can install for the supersavage IXC16, other than the one on the IBM/S3 sites? Or maybe I can hack the supported resolutions?
Any ideas welcome!
Mrs M.

Hello,
I don't use higher than XGA resolutions with my T23.
But I use the Chrometal drivers, which are a little better than the IBM ones :

(Click on the button with the red arrow)
If you want to add resolutions, then you could use PowerStrip :

I have a T23 at work and can bring it home tonight to test it with my Dell 2407WFP.

I tested my T23 with the 2407 last night and came to the same conclusion. I think the problem is that even the latest driver is too old; it's dated 23 Jan 2003. Few people used widescreens back then. And it doesn't look like S3 Graphics will update the driver.TonyJZX wrote:i have a dell 2405 and 2407 - the t23 only supports 800x600, 1024 x 768, 1280 x 1024 and 1600 x 1200

Did you tried PowerStrip ?
There is another solution, which could solve the problem :
You could purchase a Dock (correct me if I'm wrong, I don't know well these kind of components) :
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... IGR-4URSWX
You could put a "recent" low-profile graphics card in it (a GeForce 5200 PCI - not express, of course).
This model should fit the bill :
http://www.evga.com/products/moreinfo.a ... &family=13
But feel free to ask EVGA before purchasing their card :
http://www.evga.com/support/
If you can find a 256 Mo graphics card, it would be even better... But 128 should be convenient.

No, I haven't tried.
It should work, in theory, but I can't garantee it.
That's why I used the words "would", "should", or "could"...
