Hello all,
I have a T60p with the Advanced Mini Dock. I have the S/PDIF out on the dock hooked up to the optical input on my A/V receiver. I also have the DVI port on the dock connected to my projector. The T60p is running Vista Ultimate.
When I dock the T60p, Vista correct detects that it now has an external display to work with, and automatically extends the desktop to accommodate it. However, any audio output continues to use the laptop's built-in speaker.
I can go into Vista's Sound control panel and manually set the S/PDIF device to be the default playback device, but any running apps need to be restarted, since they appear to be "pinned" to whatever audio device they started with.
Is it possible with this hardware/software combination to automatically redirect all audio output over S/PDIF when docked, then back to the internal speakers when undocked?
Take a look at our
