Middleton BIOS update
Middleton BIOS update
I would like to attempt a Middleton BIOS update to ThinkPad X61 and understand that I need a fully charged battery, but I'm not sure what 'fully charged' means, ie will an old fully charged battery suffice? How much charge should it have?
My ThinkPad Graveyard:
600 * 2, X220, X61 * 2, T61

Re: Middleton BIOS update
Fully charged means just that, 100% charged. I don't have any hard evidence to back it up, but I think that if a battery pack still has more than half of its original capacity, it's considered as "good".
Planned Purchase: T480s i5-8350 FHD Touch

Re: Middleton BIOS update
It doesn't have to be fully 100%, 80 or 90% is fine. It's just a fail safe so that if you lose power during the operation you don't end up with a brick.
