It's been quite some time since I have last seen any of those batteries.
Are you aware of existence even kind of knock-off / generic battery replacements?

The X60s/X61s special 4 cell prismatic battery? It's also proven to be a pain for me to find any used one, both in China and in North America.
My guess is that those cells were so wimpy specced with regards to the power requirements of the laptop that they started dying basically right after the warranty expires, and most are gone long ago.
I've been wanting to toy with one of them for so long, now that I have access to Panasonic NCA103450 that can actually rebuild these
Found an X200T instead with an 8 cell battery with 4 of these, which I rebuilt and the battery is quite happy

I don’t think he’s talking about the slimline prismatic battery, but a slice battery that attaches to the docking connector, exactly like the ones used on the sandy/ivy bridge machines. I’ve only ever seen one image of said slice battery online a while ago, and I don’t see any results on google/google images. I think they’re just absurdly rare.
Slimline batteries are also quite rare, especially sold on their own, but sometimes they are bundled with working units on eBay.

I do have quite a couple of prismatic / ultrabay-installed batteries.
And I HAD some slice, mounted instead of dock batteries. This is correct, I'm looking for one of those

I have 2 but both are dead flat and would need re-celling (including the brand new one I bought). The laptop is 18 years old at this point - old enough to drink in some states
if someone sells you a brand new one be ready for it to be dead (almost 100% guaranteed)

Do you still have them? I know exactly how to re-cell them, and have the ability to deal with the BMS on those, but I am out of working NCA103450 cells, sold the last 4 with the ThinkPad X61T battery!
If you want, given that I am also from Toronto, I can either buy some in, or offer you the tools for you to do the recell yourself once you get the cells ordered up.
