reflashed a driver on my x220 to fix pointe/non-oem charger issue. trackpad and pointer are dead, can't get them back!
Here's the driver i flashed from the Lenovo site: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/tkb/articl ... cle-id/352
( PR1063847-tm1611.img )
i'm not being lazy by reaching out. i've been trying to fix it for 7hrs now. i've reverted to a previous restore point and nothing.
tried older drivers, including some not for the x220 but a few users in forums found they worked. uninstalled and reinstalled ultranav. checked bios settings. been through every suggestion in support forums. and yes, i've pressed fn + f8 to turn it on
something about that reflash file has completely messed up my laptop, and i'm out of ideas other than a complete wipe and reinstall of windows 7, which i'd like to avoid. (running win 7)
can anyone help?

Try opening up the laptop and disconnecting the touchpad's cable. If the trackpoint works, then it could mean that the touchpad got bricked.
Planned Purchase: T480s i5-8350 FHD Touch

Either replace the complete palmrest or try and swap out the flat cable between touchpad/FPR and motherboard with a known good one.

Sometimes there's simply a tiny bit of corrosion or dust preventing a device to run normally. That gets resolved by reseating a plug. Plug the touchpad back in, maybe it works normally again. Had that issue with my T61. And a similar issue on my sister's SL510.
Sometimes coming over from the German forum...
