X1 7th Gen Thinkpad - no audio

No audio after updating recommended Intel chipset and Realtek drivers. No answers or help from Lenova or Realtek. Anyone have the cure for this?
Did audio work before? Then you can try to roll back to an older driver.
Which sound devices are present in the sound control panel (mmsys.cpl) and which one is selected?
