[FOUND] ThinkPad T400

Looking for a T400 in good physical condition for more coreboot hacking.

Dead screen is OK (plan on replacing), dead battery is OK, no HDD required, any RAM is fine.

Bonus points if it has the solid backplate T61-style keyboard, but if not I can scavenge one of those.

ThinkPad will be shipped to NC, United States.

Let me know what you have and what you want for it.

I have several T400s to choose from. I have a few that are in mint or near mint shape, and at least a few more which are in "grade A used" shape. Let me know which you prefer and I can get pics and we can talk $$. I can swap in a T61 keyboard (plenty of those too) if it doesn't have the kind you like.

Maybe not a good fit, looks like you want a bare parts machine...

I've got several with bright led screens (220+ nits). $50/ea. + shipping from PA. They already have libreboot installed.

Unrelated, I recommend the Q9100 + el sharaf's pin/board mod for that machine. I use a T400 + Q9100 + R61 keyboard, the screen removed an a 24" screen attached via vga, as my work machine. It's usually fine, though it gets warm when run with the fan off and browsing js-heavy pages.
