T61/X61 X3100 OSD drivers

Does anyone else have either T61 or X61 (probably R61 as well) with Intel X3100 (GM965) graphics running Windows 7 x64?

I want to use the Lenovo Thinkpad specific driver, which gives me the brightness OSD. However, once every few days, it would BSOD and crash. (Took me a LONG time to figure out it was the display driver.) I'm guessing this is because the driver is actually Vista only?

I can use the Windows 7 built-in drivers or the drives from Windows update, no BSOD with those, but I lose the OSD.

So... does anyone have working drivers with OSD but without BSOD?

I have a T61 w/ Intel Extreme x3100 and I used the Windows 7 x64 on it. I had no problems with the driver that came with the fresh install. If your problem persists, go to here to download the latest official Intel x3100 64bit driver.
