I found an old, junked CRT tv getting thrown out by road and picked it up since I wanted to buy one again for my old systems. Yes I have a SONY Trinitron KV-13FM13 13” https://www.google.com/search?q=SONY+Tr ... 1&biw=1920 but the screen is small and only has 2 composite ins and coax/RF I did mod the tv and added a HDMI built in port that connects to the back AV and can connect PS3 and PS4 to it. Not a pretty picture to look at on a 13". But I found a same size tv I had before, 27" that is a RCA XL100 https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/it ... attachment It has 1 AV set in the back and Coax/RF. Nothing else. I took the tv apart and it really needed cleaning as it had black dust and not sure how long it was sitting outside. Luckly this tv has vents on side and so no rain water can fall inside the shell. After vacuuming, wiping down and polishing the board, checking for bad caps "none" inner and out of tv, I tested the power outside, and it turned on. With the tv fully cleaned it looks almost new, no scratches or marks on it. I tested out the Nintendo 64 on it and sound works with it dual speakers. But now I want to use the best cables I have for my systems I got back in the day on this large 27" CRT. S-Video (SNES,N64, PSone) and Component/RGB (PS2,GC,XBOX)
Now can RF/Coax handle S-Video and component signal and display the best possible image as S-Video and component are better than composite? I don't mind if have to buy a RF to S-Video and component switch.
Back then I did want to get this tv but got a SONY Bravia 32" LCD instead, but if did find this tv I would get it and trade/sell this RCA I have. Sony Trinitron WEGA KV-32HS420 32” https://offerup.com/item/detail/554571915 It even has 1 HDMI port. But these SONY model CRTs go for a lot of money and are all local pickup only if you can find one willing to buy, You must also travel to get it. But I'm satisfied with this 27" RCA I got for FREE.

Re: Saved an old RCA 27" CRT Tv
20 years ago when they were phasing out tube TVs, I found an awesome deal on a 26" Panasonic tube HDTV at Circuit City, so you know it was a long time ago as Circuit City was still a going concern. As I recall they shipped it for free too and I'm pretty sure it weight at least 150 pounds. It was my first HDTV. I mainly used it to hook my Nintendo to because Mario was meant to be played on a tube TV. It worked well until I got the Wii U, which produced black bars top and bottom. I did look for a solution, not too hard and ended up giving it away. If I had looked a little harder I probably could have found a way to make it work. I still kinda miss it sometimes.
